The Patient Care Technician is responsible for examining and treating patients under physician supervision, including obtaining vital signs and managing patient flow. Additional duties include medication reconciliation, rooming patients, and maintaining clinic supplies using the Epic EHR system.
BHMG Behavioral Health Job Summary: The Patient Care Technician will be responsible for the examination and treatment of patients under the direct supervision of the physician or advanced practice clinician. Duties include but not limited to the following: check in patients, obtaining vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, pulse oximetry, temperature) and medication reconciliation, patient medical history information, expediting patient flow, rooming patients, stocking clinic with supplies, navigating electronic health record system (EPIC), and performing other non-clinical duties as needed. The PCT will communicate in a respectful manner and will uphold Baptist’s mission and core values that drive service excellence. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information. Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate, within 90 days of hire.
