The Imaging Care Technician provides direct patient care and assists radiologists and technologists in the CT department. Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, performing modality-specific tasks like IV starts and venipuncture, and maintaining a safe patient environment.

Under the direction of a technologist / radiologist, the imaging care technician (ICT) is responsible for direct patient care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs. ICT demonstrates department-designated competencies. The ICT will assist in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe and conducive to patient/family wellbeing including concepts of relationship centered care.
Shift Available: Rotating
Status: Part Time, 24 hours per week
HS Diploma required
Six (6) months of previous related experience in the area of patient care delivery.
Successful completion of formal department orientation required to meet the quality and productivity standards of the job.
Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, families, and other employees
Ability to:
Follow instructions and record patient information.
Prioritize assigned tasks and organize work.
Walk and stand for 90% of shift.
Lift, turn, and position patients.
Concentrate and pay close attention to details for over 90% of time.
Able to work in area with potential exposure to infectious agents and/or contaminants.
