This position requires providing service to all age populations in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED Required.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year experience in a clinic setting preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.

Licensure

• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) credentials or completion of an approved medical assistant program required. • Care: Responsible for practicing safely within the defined standards of practice. Records and relays patient information, symptoms, and concerns to the patient’s medical provider or registered nurse for further triage assessment and to determine a plan of care Completes standardized rooming and performs clinical intake, health data collection, and documentation. Performs tasks according to scope of practice, documented competencies, and as directed by a licensed practitioner or nurse.Implements age-appropriate interventions based on individual patient needs as directed by the patient’s medical provider. Reinforces patient/family teaching plan based on identified health education needs and the condition and age of the patient through approved educational materials or written instructions
