Minimum Qualifications

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in direct patient care within a clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medical/surgical nursing principles and practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN)
  • Experience with telemetry monitoring and wound care specialization.
  • Previous work experience in a ambulatory surgery center or acute care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of patient conditions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Perform wound care management and telemetry monitoring to detect and respond to changes in patient status.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies.
  • Advocate for patient rights and needs within the healthcare team to ensure holistic and patient-centered care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
