. This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality medical care in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the well-being of our community.

As a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing immediate medical attention to patients in critical conditions, working alongside experienced medical professionals. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes as you participate in various emergency procedures and collaborate with hospital staff to ensure effective care delivery.

Responsibilities

Provide emergency medical care to patients in critical condition Evaluate and triage patients based on severity of illness Perform emergency procedures as needed Collaborate with nursing and administrative staff to ensure optimal patient care Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts Adhere to established protocols and standards of care Stay updated on advancements in emergency medicine practices

Requirements

Active MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) license Experience in emergency medicine preferred Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to patient-centered care Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)

Flexible Scheduling: 10-hour shifts

No call required

Setting: Outpatient

Daily Volume: 89 patients

Daily Admissions: ~16 patients

Procedures: Standard ED

Support Staff: EM physicians, Nursing, APPs

Must be board-certified

ACLS & CALS required

Paid travel & expenses
