Peer Recovery Support Specialist — Full-Time Bridgeway, Inc. is a federally designated Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) serving West-Central Illinois under the Illinois Section 223 Medicaid Demonstration. We are looking for a Peer Recovery Support Specialist who has walked the road of recovery themselves and wants to help others in their recovery journey. This role isn't confined to one program — you'll work across our treatment continuum, standing alongside people at some of the most pivotal moments of their recovery. What You'll Do Use your own lived experience to build trust, model hope, and help people believe recovery is possible. Provide recovery coaching, encouragement, and linkage to resources across every stage of the recovery journey. You will provide both individual recovery support, and group support services. Partner with community Drug Court teams to support participants navigating treatment alongside the justice system. Facilitate support and education groups for individuals in recovery, as well as for the family members who love them. Connect people to community resources, mutual support groups, and the professional services that can help them stay well. Work side-by-side with a multidisciplinary team while also being trusted to work independently in the community. What You Bring A high school diploma or equivalency. At least two years of personal recovery from substance use, mental health, or a co-occurring condition, and a willingness to share your story to help others. Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) credential, or willingness and ability to obtain it within one year of hire. Strong interpersonal skills, healthy boundaries, and a genuine belief in the recovery process. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, as travel between service sites and Drug Court appearances is required. Comfort working both independently and as part of a team.

Requires a high school diploma and at least two years of personal recovery from substance use or mental health conditions. Must possess or obtain a Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) credential and have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
