  • Shift: 3pm - 11pm, weekends required Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified Medical Assistant to join our Adult Residential Treatment Facility in Tacoma, WA. We Offer - Medical, Dental, and Vision with 100% paid premiums for employees. 11 paid holidays, 403(b)-retirement plan, Life Insurance, Long term Disability, Employee Assistance Program (up to 6 consultations per year), Mileage reimbursement, Tuition Assistance, Paid Sick leave and Vacation, Bereavement Leave, Student Loan Repayment, and Continuing Education Assistance. All benefits contingent on working a scheduled 40hrs a week.

Scope

Provide medical administration services. Perform both clinical and administrative duties. Serves as a member of an organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs. Responsibilities Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team serving clients with behavioral health needs. Within the scope of practice, administer and monitor psychotropic medications under the supervision as delegated by a licensed registered nurse. Ensure follow-up on referrals and facilitate continuity of care. Gather medical history information and vital signs as directed by a registered nurse or prescriber, support licensed nursing and medical staff with medication. management as needed including oral and injectable medications as prescribed. Document all medication monitoring and self-medications in EHR program or hard copy Medication Administration Record (MAR) daily by end of shift. Coordinate ordering and reporting of labs and lab results to prescribers. Coordinate insurance services/ prior authorizations. Coordinate community medical integrated healthcare services. Provide psychoeducation groups related to healthcare and medication to consumers. Maintain medical records and provide reports in accordance with policies and procedures. Competencies Understands and respects diverse backgrounds and a commitment to culturally competent practice. Demonstrates ethical decision-making skills and appropriate boundaries. Promote whole health care as a key to people’s recovery and quality of life. Ability to receive consultation and apply feedback, is accountable, and contributes to a positive work environment. Develops and maintains a self-care plan, seeks supervision when needed and recognizes signs of burnout. Ability to complete paperwork and documentation within required timeframes, meeting content requirements. Ability to apply appropriate codes to patient care services as outlined by program guidelines. Compliance with competencies determined by Nursing Director. Participate in competency trainings identified by Human Resources and assigned program. Assist in monitoring and documenting medical supplies, floor stock, and pharmacy communication. Adhere to program’s infection control policy and protocols. Assist in all aspects of the laboratory specimen, collection and throughput. Adhere to the incident reporting process. Provide activities designed to enhance community and milieu adjustment. QualificationsQualifications Completion of accredited medical assistant program and WA State certification Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality. Requirements

Must have completed an accredited medical assistant program and hold WA State certification. Requires strong communication skills and a valid driver's license with insurance if driving is required.
