About the role

The Surgical Technician provides assistance during surgical procedures and manages the sterilization, assembly, and maintenance of equipment. They are also responsible for processing specimens and ensuring the surgical area is cleaned between procedures.

Job Summary

The Surgical Technician provides assistance during surgical procedures, handles equipment and supplies, such as sterilizing, assembly and maintenance. Processes specimens and prepares area between procedures. Performs other job-related duties to maintain department standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

Demonstrates competency in performing clinical care and assessment of patients of all ages: check which ages apply (newborns, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics). Assists during surgical procedures, including sterilization, assembly, and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Cares for specimens according to O.R. Policy Performs necessary cleanup between procedures Performs other job-related duties as required or requested Preserves and protects patient rights to confidentiality

Requirements

Graduate of an approved Operation Room Surgical Technician program. Must have and maintain CPR Certification. WIH Internal Posting Period: 7/15/26-7/24/26
