The Hospital Laboratory is a specialized department responsible for performing diagnostic testing on patient specimens, including blood, urine, tissue, and other bodily fluids. It plays a critical role in patient care by providing accurate and timely test results that aid in disease diagnosis, treatment planning, and overall health monitoring.
Collects blood specimens (both venous and capillary) from adult and pediatric patients. Delivers clinical specimens to the laboratory in a timely manner to ensure efficient, accurate laboratory testing and patient care. Prompt specimen registration, and the courteous interaction with house staff, other departments and services are also duties of this position. Work as necessary to meet staffing needs and fulfill the mission, vision, and values of the hospital.
Responsible for the collection of blood via the appropriate location and method from patients of all ages in a timely manner for laboratory testing.

Performance of non-Dot drug screens, breathalyzer testing, and blood alcohol collections.
