Follow the Staff Chaplain's assessment of the patient's spiritual practices/values and assist in accommodating and integrating these values into the patient's medical plan of care.
Communicate the patient's spiritual needs to the patient's interdisciplinary health care team as appropriate.
Support the patient/family as they integrate implications of the suggested medical treatment plan in the framework of their spiritual beliefs, and as they work through difficult issues/challenges that may arise during hospitalization.
Consult with the Staff Chaplain to appropriately support the interdisciplinary health care team.

Requires a Bachelor's degree, one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education, and two years of caregiving experience. A Master of Divinity and Board Certification are preferred.
