We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Histotechnologist to join our FDHS Pathology Lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination, performing routine and specialized histologic procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy. This role is crucial in supporting pathologists in diagnosing diseases and conditions based on tissue samples.

The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal.
The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and climb stairs.
The employee should be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
The work environment is typically quiet to moderate with standard office noise levels.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to sounds such as ringing phones, office equipment, and conversations among colleagues.

Requires an Associate degree or equivalent training and experience. Must hold HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) certification and a State of Florida License.
