Responsible for the timely registration of patients being admitted to the hospital, including interviewing patients and entering data into the computer. This includes verifying insurance and obtaining necessary authorizations for elective or urgent admissions.
A minimum of one year comparable hospital experience in an Emergency Room or related area. Under the direction of the Administrator is responsible for the timely processing of all materials, information, arrangements of departments procedures, etc. involved with the registration of a patient being admitted into the hospital.On elective or urgent admissions, insurance must be verified and authorization must be obtained prior to admission. Interviews patients and/ or their representatives at the time of admission.Verifies and enters information received from interview in the computer. Obtains all required signatures and witnesses documents as required (Consent Forms).
