Essential Key Responsiblities: Specimen handling and processing including gross, embed, cut, stain and coverslip specimens for microscopic evaluation by the surgeon following established policies and procedures.
Prepare and evaluate stains, reagents and solutions necessary for slide prep following established policies and procedures.
Perform quality control and preventative maintenance procedures to assure instruments, stains and procedures are within acceptable standards by taking corrective action if necessary and notifying lab director/licensed health care practitioner.
Assist with quality assurance and proficiency testing following established policies and procedures.
Assists with regulatory compliance by maintaining accurate records.
Complete yearly competency testing.
Adhere to OSHA, CLIA and HIPPA regulations.
Job Requirements Required: Completion of Mohs Training Program Required Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required
Requires completion of a Mohs Training Program and a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
