Pay Range

$47.50 - $71.25

Essential Functions

Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and daily assessments.

Records findings of examinations, assessments and plan of care.

Performs minor office-based medical and/or surgical procedures.

Writes appropriate prescriptions and administers medications.

Orders and interprets daily laboratory and radiology examinations.

Determines treatment plan for patient.

Documents all patient encounters, records observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner on the patient's medical record.

Acts as a patient advocate for the population served.

Attends, participates and contributes to group/practice meetings and development of policies and procedures when requested.

Job Highlights

Office details: Outpatient

Office hours: 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday

Location: Jeff Gordon Child Advocacy Center and Butterfly House

Schedule hours

32 hours patient facing and 8 hours of admin time.

Clinician group: 3 Physicians and 3 APPs

Patient Load: 2-4 patients/families daily

Atrium Health Levine Children’s Advocacy Centers (CAC) are places that advocate for abused children in our community. With a team of RN’s, Medical Providers, a victim advocates, forensic interviewers and office personnel, the CAC team works closely with law enforcement, mental health, the District Attorney’s office, and Child Protective Services to make sure abused children in our community have a voice.

Physical Requirements Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling.

Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.

Must speak English fluently and in understandable terms.

Must possess intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and finger dexterity.

Must have the ability to react and perform in stressful situations

Education, Experience and Certifications.

Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling.

Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.

Must speak English fluently and in understandable terms.

Must possess intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and finger dexterity.

Must have the ability to react and perform in stressful situations.

Schedule primarily composed of weekday shifts, less than or equal to 200 hours of weekend and/or night coverage.

Nurse Practitioner

Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required. ACNP, AGACNP, AGNP, PNP, or PNP-AC board certification preferred based population served.

Requirements

Requires a Master's or Doctorate in Nursing Practice and a valid Registered Nurse license. Board certification in a relevant pediatric or acute care specialty is preferred.
