VERG-Brooklyn is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join their growing Internal Medicine Department!

Elevate Your Skills with Advanced Specialty Medicine At VERG, you won't just assist—you will actively advance patient care alongside board-certified specialists. Our hospital is fully equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic technology, giving you the platform to perform advanced procedures and stretch your technical capabilities every day. What You'll Do As a key member of our Internal Medicine team, you will: Support Advanced Procedures: Assist with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures (including GI, nasal, and airway scopes) as well as advanced radiology tasks. Provide High-Level Nursing: Perform intravenous catheter placements, assist with endotracheal intubations and anesthetic inductions, and manage the precise setup, cleaning, and maintenance of specialized scope equipment. Lead Client Communication: Act as the vital link between our Internists and pet owners—providing updates on patient histories, lab results, and treatment plans. Deliver Critical Patient Education: Manage patient discharges and teach clients essential at-home care, including subcutaneous fluid administration, insulin injections, and feeding tube management.

Qualifications

Experience & Skills: Skilled in advanced technical nursing (IV catheters, anesthetic induction/intubation, diagnostics) with a strong, detail-oriented work ethic.

Collaboration

Ability to work seamlessly both independently and as part of a highly collaborative specialty team.
