Caregiver

Job Description

Village Caregiving is seeking compassionate, dependable individuals to join our team as Evening Caregivers. In this role, you will provide one-on-one, non-medical care to seniors and veterans in their homes, helping them remain safe, comfortable, and independent. This position is ideal for someone looking for rewarding evening hours while making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, and general tidying.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in conversation and activities.
• Remind clients to take medications as directed.
• Assist with transportation to appointments, errands, or grocery shopping when needed.
• Monitor and report changes in a client’s condition to the office.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
• Follow each client’s individualized care plan while treating every client with dignity and respect.

• Qualifications/Requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance required.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Dependable, compassionate, and professional demeanor.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in clients’ homes.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required.
• CNA/HHA experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients as needed.
• Availability to work one weekend a month.
