About the role

The APP manages patients with cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology conditions through pre- and post-procedure evaluations and device management. They coordinate comprehensive care including inpatient admissions, discharges, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

The Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner will play a vital role in the management of patients with cardiac arrhythmias and complex electrophysiology conditions across both the outpatient and inpatient settings. Working closely with a team of Electrophysiologists and Cardiologists, the Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive care for established patients before and after procedures, assist in the ongoing management of rhythm disorders, and support patients throughout their treatment journey. The ideal Nurse Practitioner will have a strong background in cardiology, electrophysiology, critical care, telemetry, cardiac step-down, cath lab, structural heart, or other cardiovascular specialties. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including detailed medical histories, physical examinations, and electrophysiology-focused follow-up visits Evaluate and manage patients with atrial fibrillation (AFib), atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), ventricular arrhythmias, syncope, palpitations, and other cardiac rhythm disorders Perform pre-procedure and post-procedure evaluations for patients undergoing electrophysiology studies, catheter ablations, pacemaker implantations, ICD implantations, CRT device placement, and left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) procedures Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including antiarrhythmic medication management, anticoagulation monitoring, rhythm control strategies, and patient education Manage and monitor patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs), including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices, and implantable loop recorders Review and interpret cardiac diagnostic testing, including ECGs, ambulatory monitors, Holter monitors, event monitors, laboratory studies, cardiac imaging, and device interrogation reports Monitor remote device transmissions and collaborate with the electrophysiology team to address clinically significant findings Facilitate admissions, discharges, care coordination, and transitions across inpatient and outpatient settings Collaborate closely with Electrophysiologists, Cardiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care Educate patients and families regarding arrhythmia diagnoses, treatment options, procedural expectations, medications, and long-term disease management Coordinate referrals, follow-up appointments, diagnostic testing, and specialty consultations as appropriate Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record Participate in departmental quality initiatives and support evidence-based cardiovascular and electrophysiology care practice.

Requirements
