We're looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Phlebotomist who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care through accurate specimen collection and laboratory support.
Collect blood and other patient specimens using a variety of collection techniques, including venipuncture and finger sticks.
Verify patient identity and prepare specimens for laboratory testing and analysis.
Perform drug screenings and breath alcohol testing.
Process and prepare specimens for transport while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Answer multi-line phones and respond to email and fax inquiries.
Process department mail and complete other clerical duties as needed.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide carrier services when required.
Maintain accurate documentation and perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate is dependable, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys balancing hands-on patient interactions with clerical and operational responsibilities.
Certification as a Phlebotomist preferred.
American Heart Association BLS certification required within 3 months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
0 to 2 years of phlebotomy experience or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge of phlebotomy practices, patient safety, specimen collection, and laboratory procedures.
Strong problem-solving, organization, and quality assurance skills.
Ability to work independently and remain calm in emergency situations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, providers, and coworkers.
Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
Experience with arterial blood collection and general specimen collection preferred.
Ability to become proficient within six months in Microsoft Office and applicable hospital systems, including Meditech, Kronos, HealthStream, Mayo, Carescripts, Allscripts, and Galactica.
Other duties as assigned.
