The RN is responsible for identifying patient needs through assessment and planning and delegating care accordingly. They evaluate patient responses to care and are accountable for outcomes during their assigned shift.
Overview Provides terminal cleaning, packaging, sterilization and distribution of surgical instruments and supplies. Records sterilization process according to hospital policy.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED.EXPERIENCE: Previous experience as Sterilization Technician preferred.ADDITIONAL SKILL/ABILITIES: Ability to communicate in English with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Candidates must be a graduate of a state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure. BLS certification is required before orientation ends, and ACLS must be obtained within one year of hire.
