Provide chairside assistance to oral surgeons during procedures and manage the sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment. Responsible for patient preparation, monitoring vital signs, and providing detailed post-operative instructions.

As an Oral Surgery Dental Assistant at Ideal Dental, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional care and support to both our patients and dental team.

What You’ll Do: Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, materials, and equipment.

Prepare patients for surgery, including applying topical anesthetics and explaining the procedure to help them feel at ease.

Provide "chairside" assistance to the oral surgeon, anticipating their needs and efficiently passing instruments.

Maintain a clear surgical field using suction hoses and other equipment.

Monitor patient vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate) and anesthesia levels.

Provide patients with detailed post-operative instructions for managing pain, preventing infection, and promoting healing.

Clean and disinfect the operating room and instruments after the procedure.

Schedule follow-up appointments and handle other administrative tasks as needed.

Monitor and replenish surgical supplies and inventory.

Operate X-ray and 3D scanning equipment to take and process dental radiographs.

Greeting guests with a smile Assisting Oral Surgeons with procedures Sterilizing instruments and setting up trays Preparing treatment rooms Assisting with conscious and iv sedation Performing X-rays Charting existing and recommended treatments Performing other duties as required to support the office and oral surgery team What do you need to have to be a part of our team? Must possess an active Registered Dental Assistant License and current CPR certification. Requires a minimum of one year of specific oral surgery experience and a willingness to travel within assigned areas.
