Nocturnist Hospitalist Physician East Jefferson General Hospital | Metairie, Louisiana Join a High-Performing Hospital Medicine Team at East Jefferson General Hospital East Jefferson General Hospital (EJGH), part of LCMC Health, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join our growing Hospital Medicine team as a Full-Time Nocturnist Hospitalist.

As a Nocturnist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality inpatient care during overnight hours while working alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving patient outcomes.

Patient Care Deliver high-quality, evidence-based inpatient medical care Assess, diagnose, treat, and monitor acute and chronic medical conditions Coordinate care with consultants and interdisciplinary teams Complete patient encounters and documentation in a timely manner Ensure compliance with organizational standards, policies, and regulatory requirements Patient Access & Coverage Participate in an equitable physician call and coverage schedule Support patient throughput and continuity of care initiatives Quality, Safety & Compliance Adhere to infection prevention protocols and patient safety standards Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives Maintain compliance with hospital policies and accreditation requirements
Education Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Training Successful completion of an accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program Licensure & Certifications Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted Louisiana medical license Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Skills & Experience Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Proficiency with electronic medical records Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence WORK SHIFT: Nights (United States of America) LCMC Health is a community.
