The Scrub Technician is responsible for equipping and preparing the operating room to ensure a safe environment for patients and personnel. They provide direct assistance to surgeons during procedures by managing sterile fields and surgical instruments.
The Scrub Technician prepares the operating room and assists the surgeon during procedures.
1. Equip and prepare the operating room.
2. Ensure the operative environment is safe and up to quality standards for both the patient and ASC personnel.
3. Working knowledge of the equipment, surgical protocols/practices used during surgery as well as an efficient and organized approach to the instrument tray and sterile fields.
4. Adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations. Follows the principles of the Compliance Program as well as the Code of Conduct.
