The Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist is responsible for laboratory specimen processing, test performance and test result reporting in the clinical departments of the laboratory. The position is responsible for performing procedures related to quality control, quality assurance and preventive maintenance according to laboratory protocols. Follows the Laboratory's established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the Laboratory's established acceptable levels of performance.

Successful completion of a Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) program with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Successful completion of MLS (ASCP) certification or equivalent.
Meets federal guidelines (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments/CLIA) for performing high complexity testing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals from multiple disciplines.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
Ability to monitor own work to ensure quality while demonstrating excellent time management skills.
