Job Description: SUMMARY
Performs nursing care activities for individuals in the Medical/Surgical Unit.
Actively accepts, understands, and practices appropriate standards of Medical/Surgical nursing.
Contributes to the nursing assessment of the Medical/Surgical patient.
Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Actively supports the mission, vision, and values of the hospital and department.
Performs various activities related to the needs of adult and geriatric Medical/Surgical patients in accordance with the hospital’s established policies and procedures and the Alabama Board of Nursing.

Requires a current LPN license in the state and successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support and institutional EKG courses. Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
