The Therapist provides clinical mental health services to patients admitted to an acute inpatient psychiatric unit. The Therapist conducts psychosocial assessments, Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale and Stanley Brown Discharge Safety Plan, develops individualized treatment plans, facilitates therapeutic groups, and provides individual and family therapy as needed.
Working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team, the Therapist supports stabilization, crisis intervention, and discharge planning to promote recovery and continuity of care. Services are delivered in accordance with hospital policies, Florida regulations, and professional ethical standards.
Candidates must be a Registered Intern or Licensed Counselor/Social Worker in Florida with BLS certification and at least one year of behavioral health experience. Proficiency in therapeutic recreation processes and group facilitation is required.
