JOB SUMMARY A Radiation Therapist is responsible for the day-to-day scheduling and treatment of patients needing radiation therapy.
Therapists develop a close bond with eachpatient, starting during the orientation process for each patient’s experience, and through to completion of therapy.
They ensure patient’s questions and concerns areaddressed, and that therapy is optimized.
Work very closely with dosimetrist on all technical delivery of radiation, and act as an expert in the quality assurance andfunction of the equipment used to delivery radiation.
Enjoys the flexibility a small team provides, and is willing to provide assistance in all areas of radiation oncology.
Requires expertise in the function and quality assurance of radiation delivery equipment. Must be able to manage patient orientations and work flexibly within a small oncology team.
