Independently plan and provide professional nursing care to radiology patients according to physician orders and Georgia Nurse Practice Act guidelines. Manage patient care across various shifts and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

REQUIRED: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations. Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training. Certified in American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of employment. PREFERRED: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience involving the treatment of cardiac/critical care patients, ER, ICU and/or Radiology (IR) experience highly preferred. Procedural and/or Emergency Department experience (including pre-op, OR, PACU, Interventional Pain, Endovascular, Interventional Radiology, Endoscopy, and strong IV insertion skills) is easily transferable. Work Hours: varies Weekend Requirements: Yes- Rotating Basis On-Call Requirements: Yes

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school and a licensed RN in Georgia with at least two years of full-time experience. ACLS certification is required within one year, with a preference for experience in cardiac, critical care, or radiology.
