About the Position

We are looking for a Residential Mental Health Associate to join our team at our McKenzie Ridge SRTF in Junction City, Oregon!

The Residential Mental Health Associate will engage with residents to provide treatment services prescribed by their therapist both in the community and in the program and document those services in the EHR (Electronic Health Record).

They will provide direct treatment services to the clients according to their individualized treatment plan with a focus on individual treatment services such as Activity Therapy, Skills Training, Case Management, Community Psychiatric Support, and Crisis Intervention.

They will also provide direct group treatment services to the clients according to their individualized treatment plan by utilizing approved evidenced-based curriculum.

The Residential Mental Health Associate will provide direct skills training and coaching within skill areas including but not limited to independent living/self-sufficiency, education, navigating the medical community, community living, and/or as assigned.

They will provide transport clients to and from the program as necessary to engage and provide treatment services.

They will maintain compliance with established productivity standards for documentation of services.

This position falls under the AFSCME bargaining unit. Wages, benefits, and working conditions are set in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

Work Schedule

  • Sunday through
  • Thursday, 7:00am – 3:30pm (Full Time Day)

What You’ll Make

$24.64 - $26.15 per hour DOE/Credentials.

Differentials

In addition to your base wage, CCS offers the following pay differentials, subject to position, program, and eligibility requirements:

Night Shift (NOC) Differential: Anadditional$3.00 per hour for hours worked between 10:00 PM and 8:30 AM, provided that at least 2.5 hours of your shift occur within this designated period.

Secure Program Differential: An additional $2.00 per hour for all hours worked in an eligible CCS secure program.

Bilingual Differential: Anadditional5% pay differential for employees who meet the qualifications of the CCS Language/Bilingual Program.

About the Program

McKenzie Ridge is a secure, co-ed, 8-bed program serving adults living with a mental illness. McKenzie Ridge is a beautiful newer building located on the grounds of the state hospital.

ColumbiaCare Services is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program

What You’ll Need

Must be registered as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) through the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO). Eligibility requires 1 out of 3 Criteria below:

Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field;

OR minimum three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs in a supervised setting;

OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental behavioral health experience and training

Driving is an essential function of this position. Successful applicants must provide a valid driver's license from their state of residence or obtain and submit one within 30 days of hire, maintain a safe driving record, and have the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to frequently talk, listen, use hands and fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb stairs, as well as lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds. It may require the ability to occasionally use ladders, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable. In addition, you must successfully complete crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings, which require performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques and may require an individual to lift and transfer clients.
