The Medical Assistant is responsible for rooming patients, checking vitals, and assisting providers with clinical procedures and protocols. They also handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, documenting patient care in EPIC, and managing referrals.
This is a benefited, full-time position generally working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Saturdays are required on a rotating basis. Located in Eastlake.

What you'll do: Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician’s practice Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person Collecting patient data in person and by phone Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review Administering medications specifically directed by the physician Scheduling of appointments and procedures Complete and accurate message taking Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications Setting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographics
Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Qualifications: 1 years of experience working as Medical Assistant Family Practice experience
Candidates must have completed a formal Medical Assistant program, hold a certification, or have two years of experience as a military corpsman. A BLS certification for Healthcare Providers from the AHA is required.
