The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing assessment, treatment, and program planning for patients under physician orders. This includes managing documentation and communicating effectively within a critical care hospital setting.

Hospital Details

Vibra Hospital of Boise, located in Boise, ID, is a 40 bed Critical Care Hospital, providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing and directing Speech-Language Pathologist services to patients including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication.
  • Functions under physician’s orders.
  • Required Skills: Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Speech Therapist in the state of employment required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in SLP or in the process of completing Clinical Fellowship Year required.
  • Member of American Speech-Language and Hearing Association required.
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
  • Additional Qualifications/Skills: One (1) year of experience preferred.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a valid state license, BLS certification, and membership in the ASHA, with a CCC-SLP or be completing a Clinical Fellowship Year. One year of experience is preferred.
