About the role

The CT Technologist performs specialized imaging procedures and scanning protocols under the direction of a Radiologist. They are responsible for providing safe, quality patient care and collaborating with the clinical team to assist in patient diagnosis.

Responsibilities

  • Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, California, is a licensed 122-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission.
  • It is Southwest Riverside County's only designated Trauma Center and a county-designated Paramedic Base Station.
  • The hospital performs more than 4,000 surgeries a year, and has an average of 4,000 Emergency Department visits per month.
  • The hospital features a Bariatric Weight-Loss Surgery Center of Excellence and the region’s only Total Joint Center.
  • Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta, California, is a 120 bed acute-care hospital with the region's only Pediatric Emergency Services team (for children 14 and under) provided by board certified Rady Children’s emergency medicine physicians.
  • Rancho Springs Hospital also provides the area's only OB/Emergency Department program, which gives expectant mothers 24/7 on-site access to OB/GYN physician coverage.
  • The Childbirth Center at Rancho Springs Hospital is the largest in the region and features spacious family-friendly private suites.
  • Rancho's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is operated by Rady Children’s.

Position Summary

The CT Technologist performs a variety of imaging procedures within the Imaging department, providing specialized scanning utilizing appropriate techniques and protocols. CT Technologist performs under the general direction of a Radiologist and Imaging department leadership. The CT Technologist is responsible for demonstrating Service Excellence while providing safe, quality patient care for all patients receiving imaging services. This includes, but not limited to, capturing optimal images, collaboration with clinical team members, assisting the physician in the diagnosis of the patient’s condition or health complaint, other duties as necessary to facilitate Imaging service delivery. Employee may be required to float to the other facility within Southwest Health Rancho Springs and Inland Valley Hospital based on operational needs, with appropriate orientation and competency validation provided.

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION Diploma from a certified school of radiologic technology.
  • CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES § Active California Radiology Technologist (CRT) license § Computerized Tomography certification ARRT (CT) § Current BLS certification § Fluoroscopy license required within 1 year of hire § Active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license § Venipuncture certification preferred EXPERIENCE Minimum one-year experience as a CT Technologist preferred.
  • Experience in an acute care facility preferred.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a diploma from a certified school of radiologic technology and possess active California Radiology Technologist (CRT) and ARRT (CT) certifications. A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care facility is preferred.
