More about our team

Join our team in a 22-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. We are staffed with RNs, CNAs, Telemetry Techs, and unit secretaries, providing specialized care for patients primarily diagnosed with respiratory failure and cardiac conditions. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing advanced cardiac monitoring technology to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure optimal outcomes for our diverse patient population.

How you'll contribute

An Patient Care Assistant who excels in this role

Performs basic patient care as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible blood glucose measurements, and accurate intake/output recording.

Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation).

Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.

Keeps patient rooms and common areas clean, safe, and appropriately stocked.

Manages the tech desk; supports nursing/physician staff and department throughput.

Documents care and activities per unit standards.

Participates in performance improvement and required education; performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

  • Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional requirements include:
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Registered in NC as a CNAI within 6 months of completing training program
  • License: CNA or EMT preferred

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire. CNA or EMT licensure is preferred, with a requirement to be registered as a CNAI in NC within 6 months of training.
