As a Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist on our team, you will utilize your specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments, and treatment planning to care for patients ranging from age 5 through late adulthood.

In this role, you will provide therapy sessions on an individual, group, or family basis, supporting patients across the mental health spectrum, from anxiety and depression to bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

Your work will directly impact patients’ lives as you help them improve their overall well-being.

A caregiver in this position works Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm with no holidays or weekends.

A caregiver who excels in this role will: Utilize specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments and treatment plans to patients.

Provide individual, group, family and crisis counseling.

Utilize a clinical focus across the mental health spectrum, from anxiety and depression to bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

Participate in the development and implementation of assessments based on interdisciplinary treatment plans.

Consult with team members, statutory/voluntary agencies and relatives to ensure compliance with the patient treatment plan.

Act as a liaison between patients, families, community support workers and facilities to obtain information and facilitate discharge planning.

Educate and provide resources to patients and families.

Supervise and/or train lower-level social workers, students or interns.

Process paperwork and complete clinical documentation.

Participate in continuing professional education, departmental meetings and teaching.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with no record of substantiated ethics or patient abuse reports A minimum of three years' experience in a behavioral health setting is required with comprehensive knowledge of current psychotherapeutic techniques, theories, and practices sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and counsel patients The ability to concisely document clinical findings and patient needs in an electronic medical record while navigating a multi-specialized behavioral health environment and the ability to communicate across different electronic platforms and across a broad geographic provide base is essential Physical Requirements: A high degree of manual dexterity to produce materials on PC; normal or corrected vision; extensive sitting and frequent walking; occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
