What You Should Know About the Cardiovascular RN

Monday-

Friday:

Typical hours 6:30- 3:00. Position will require call.

This position is based within Jefferson Regional Cardiac Cath Lab or Special Procedures Lab. Please look at posting as to which department this is for.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the quality of care for an assigned caseload of patients in the procedural labs (Cardiac Cath Lab and IVR). This includes delegating duties appropriately and directing staff in the delivery of care, assuring responsibility for the appropriate utilization of resources, collaborating with medical staff and others in the provision of care, and demonstrating positive interpersonal relationships with others in communication and problem resolution.

Cardiovascular RN Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical Diploma in Nursing required. Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Arkansas Registered Nurse Licensure required
  • BLS/CPR required upon hire or obtain prior to patient care. ACLS and PALS required within 1 year of hire.
  • This is a safety sensitive position.
  • Minimum
  • Requirements: 1. Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, with excellent critical thinking and decision making skills 2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams 3. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed for on-call shifts 4. Basic proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care 5. Adequate verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams 6. Basic flexibility to adapt to changes in patient conditions and unit priorities.

  • Requirements: 1. Extensive experience in a variety of surgical specialties 2. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems 3. Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to mentor and train other staff members 4. 2+ years of experience in perioperative nursing

Monday through Friday 0700-1530. Call required.

Requirements

Candidates must have a nursing diploma or degree, a current Arkansas RN license, and BLS/CPR certification. Preferred qualifications include 2+ years of perioperative nursing experience and proficiency in EMR systems.
