At SimonMed Imaging, the Technologist Assistant plays a key role in delivering a smooth, patient-centered imaging experience.

This role supports technologists and clinical staff by preparing exam rooms, assisting with patient flow and mobility, and ensuring patients are safely and respectfully guided through their visit.

This is a hands-on, highly active patient-care role that involves frequent standing, walking, and direct physical support of patients.

You prioritize patient comfort, dignity, and safety while actively assisting patients with mobility, positioning, and exam preparation throughout the day.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills: You communicate clearly and compassionately with patients throughout the clinical environment and collaborate effectively with technologists and staff.

Hands-on clinical support ability: You assist with patient positioning, escorting patients, exam preparation, and basic procedural support while following established safety and mobility guidelines.

Attention to detail and room readiness: You ensure exam rooms are cleaned, stocked, and prepared for continuous patient flow in a fast-paced imaging environment.

Adaptability in a physical, fast-moving environment: You remain calm and responsive while supporting patients with varying conditions, mobility needs, and levels of acuity.

Team-oriented approach: You work closely with technologists and clinical staff to maintain efficient workflows and safe patient handling throughout the shift.

  • You’re a Strong Fit If You Have
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior healthcare or patient-facing experience strongly preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required (or obtained within required timeframe)
  • IV certification or willingness to obtain (depending on modality requirements)
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, and physically assist patients throughout the day
  • Comfort supporting patient mobility, positioning, and safe transfers when needed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in an active clinical environment
  • Ability to follow clinical protocols, safety guidelines, and infection control standards
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on safe, compassionate patient care

  • Salary Information The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of the United States only.
  • This range is intended to reflect the role's base salary rate in locations throughout the US.
  • Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, alignment with market data, and geographic location.
  • The base salary range does not include any bonuses, equity, or benefits.
  • North California: $24.00 - $25.00 South California: $20.00 - $25.00 Colorado: $17.00 - $20.00 Illinois: $17.00 - $20.00 New York: $20.00 - $23.00

Requirements
