Reporting to and functioning under the general supervision of the Supervisor, the mammography technologist prepares for and operates imaging equipment following specific physicians orders. Produces detailed computer generated scans of patients for breast and DEXA exams, verifies patients identification prior to scan, selects patient from work list, ensures exam is archived on the PACS. Maintains facilities in proper order. Must keep abreast of all new departmental imaging. To perform a variety of mammographic and DEXA procedures using X-Rays. Education Completion from an accredited radiography program and registered by the ARRT with advanced Mammography Certification and a valid/current license from the State of NJ DEP. Must obtain advanced Mammography Registry within 1 year of employment. Current CPR Certification thru the American Heart Association.
