Community Medical and Dental Care, a non-profit community health center located in Rockland County, NY, is hiring a part time Occupational Therapist. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our multidisciplinary team.
Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with a variety of physical, developmental, neurological, and functional conditions. Facilitate development and rehabilitation by planning and administering medically prescribed occupational therapy programs tailored to each patient's needs and goals. Help patients regain physical functioning and independence through therapeutic activities, exercises, adaptive techniques, and assistive devices. Evaluate therapy results by observing, noting, and assessing patient progress; recommend and implement necessary adjustments to the plan of care. Ensure continuity of care by instructing patients and caregivers in home exercise programs and providing education for at-home care.
Current NY State Occupational Therapy license (Required) Experience working with pediatric and/or adult patients preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
