About the role

The clinician evaluates and implements rehabilitation services for adults within the Community Clinical Services program. Responsibilities include developing Community Service Plans and providing clinical leadership to integrated teams.

The Department of Mental Health, Corrigan Mental Health Center is seeking talented and dedicated Community Mental Health Clinician to function as a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) for our Adult Community Clinical Services Program.

Under the direct supervision of the ACCS program supervisor, the Community Mental Health Clinician evaluate, develop, implement, coordinate, and monitor the delivery of Rehabilitation Services within Adult Community Clinical Services.

Incumbent functions in both individual and group settings and performs other related duties required to ensure the effective maintenance and operation of the ACCS program and population served.

Please Note: This position is 40 hours per week, Work Schedule: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The days off are Saturday and Sunday.

Duties and Responsibilities (these are not all inclusive): Works as primary clinician for assigned persons served and is accountable for all service components provided by the team.

Responsible for the coordination and completion of the Comprehensive Assessment by meeting with the client, family and any other individuals that can provide information as well as by gathering and incorporating outside documentation.

Responsible the development, of person served Community Service Plan (CSP) in coordination with other service providers through meeting with the person served, knowledge of the person served history, to assist the person served in learning the necessary skills to live successfully in the community.

Conducts ongoing assessments; actively participates in discharge planning; assumes primary responsibility for developing, writing, implementing, evaluating, & revising overall treatment/recovery goals.

Serves on and provides clinical leadership to an integrated team which includes Group Living Environment(s) by attending regular team meetings, by coming prepared to present psychosocial history, mental status, diagnosis, treatment provided, and treatment planned for assigned cases.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual or multilingual. Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness, behavioral or mood disturbances in an inpatient setting. DMH Mission Statement:

A Master's or higher degree in social work.

Licenses

  • Based on assignment, travel may be required. Those employees who elect to use a motor vehicle for travel must have a current and valid Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Operator's license or the equivalent from another state.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Certified Social Worker or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Social Work. Salary placement is determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate’s years of directly related experience and education, and alignment with our internal compensation structure as set forth by the Human Resources Division’s Hiring Guidelines. For all bargaining unit positions (non-management), compensation is subject to the salary provisions outlined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement and will apply to placement within the appropriate salary range.
