Provide direct nursing care under supervision, including assisting with activities of daily living and taking vital signs. Document patient status and maintain a safe, orderly environment in patient rooms.
High school diploma/GED required. Must be accepted or enrolled into a Nursing program upon date of hire/transfer and begin classes within 90 days of date of hire/transfer. Exceptions will be made for students in one-semester of remediation, academic probation or equivalent.(Student Nurse Techs are expected to transition into a nursing role within our organization upon graduation. If an intern does not accept a nursing position with the organization upon graduation, their employment as a Student Nurse Tech will end effective their graduation date.) Must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program and hold a high school diploma or GED. A BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
