About the role

Provide direct abortion care and reproductive healthcare services, including taking pre-procedure vitals and assisting in procedure and recovery rooms. Support practitioners in education and contribute to various research programs.

Full-Time Hours available Tues-Saturday at Cherry Hill Women’s Center, a state licensed ambulatory surgical center that has delivered excellence in abortion and reproductive healthcare for over 40 years, always at the forefront of best practices in our field. Our team members are committed to advocating and caring for women seeking legal, safe, compassionate abortion care, in addition to assistance for adoption services and prenatal care.

Responsibilities

include (Experience in one or more preferred):

  • Pre-procedure vitals, basic lab work
  • Procedure Room assistance in set up, during procedures and in transporting patients
  • Recovery Room assistance including vitals
  • Assisting in the education of practitioners in abortion care
  • Contributing to various research programs

Our team welcomes empathetic, committed, experienced Medical Assistants with a strong work ethic, sense of humor and a desire to be a part of a team. The right candidates want to make a difference in the community, work with a diverse patient population, can multi-task and appreciate being challenged by a fast-paced work environment.

The ideal candidate must possess

  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent patient care skills
  • Basic computer skills (EHR experience a plus!)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
  • SEEKING BILINGUAL CANDIDATES. Staff members who speak more than one language interpret for non-English speaking patients and their loved ones throughout their experience

New graduates are welcome to apply, some patient care experience is required.

Full-Time hours Tuesday through Saturday – no nights – no holidays
