The intern is responsible for interpreting medication orders, dispensing drugs, and performing compounding and labeling tasks under pharmacist supervision. They also provide patient counseling and participate in drug-related research and management.

Must collaborate with others, organize well, accomplish tasks, solve problems and communicate effectively. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs is required.
