Develop and implement goal-directed treatment plans to restore functional skills and activities of daily living for patients. Supervise support staff and students while educating patients and caregivers on therapy procedures and discharge needs.
Develop and implement goal-directed treatment plans for assigned patients utilizing in-depth evaluation and physician orders Establish realistic, objective functional goals based on patient/caregiver goals and overall discharge plan Supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, OT students, and OTA students on a routine basis Educate patients/caregivers on occupational therapy services, treatment procedures, and treatment goals Prepare for client discharge in a timely, thorough manner, including patient/caregiver education, home visit, recommendations for home modifications and equipment needs, and procurement of recommended equipment Maintain a working knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Therapy Practice Act and Code of Ethics Perform other duties as assigned
