Market context

Field chaplain roles need specialized preparation

In Illinois, field chaplain openings are often competitive because employers look for both theological training and healthcare experience, along with CPE certification and reliable transportation. This role category typically appeals to candidates who can provide spiritual care across multiple sites, so a graduate degree, a valid driver’s license, and an insured vehicle can matter as much as pastoral skills. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits here to save time, then confirm your CPE status and healthcare background before applying.
