The Cardiology Technician performs EKGs and assists with cardiac stress testing procedures for physician interpretation. Additionally, they handle clerical tasks including filing, transcription, and reception duties.
PT Position, work week would generally consist of two 7.5 hr/days (Mon & Fri) and two 6.5hr/days (Tues & Thurs) and off on Wednesday, will require cross campus travel, and must be flexible with working hours to cover patient volume, vacation and PTO hours of the full-time staff. Stress Lab coverage on 3 day holiday weekends may be needed.
The Cardiology Technician is responsible for performing electrocardiograms (EKG) and assisting with cardiac stress testing procedures. Presents the completed exam for interpretation by the physician. Performs clerical duties surrounding cardiology diagnostic testing that includes but is not limited to filing, EKG transcription, reception responsibilities and record management.
High school graduate or GED. Certification in Basic Life Support. Must be flexible and easily adaptable to change.
Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.
Prior experience in EKG/stress testing. Completion of Basic Arrhythmia Course. Prior experience in computer applications/word processing.
