Join our telepharmacy team as a Remote Staff Pharmacist, supporting multiple hospitals across several states. You’ll leverage technology and clinical expertise to verify medication orders, support care teams, and ensure safe, high‑quality patient care from a fully remote environment. What You’ll Do Telepharmacy Services ●Complete remote order entry, order verification, and drug verification. ●Transitions of care medication reconciliation. ●Navigate multiple pharmacy information systems (PIS).Clinical Support ●Provide drug information and therapeutic guidance to providers. ●Assess medication appropriateness, dosing (including renal/hepatic adjustments), interactions, and compatibilities. ●Support specialized populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, pregnant/nursing patients, HIV, and those with renal/hepatic impairment. ●Maintain knowledge of IV therapies, TPN, cardiac/narcotic drips, IV antibiotics, chemotherapy, and more. Operational Excellence ●Document interventions and clinical actions accurately and promptly. ●Communicate effectively with physicians and nurses. ●Ensure compliance with HIPAA, pharmacy laws, and client policies. Technical & Professional Skills ●Work across VPNs, automation systems, and multiple PIS platforms. ●Use applications such as Google Suite/Microsoft Office and Snagit. ●Maintain required licenses, credentials, and system access. Training & Performance ●Participate in ongoing training (clinical, PIS, and policy updates). ●Meet productivity and quality standards.
●Bachelors in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred ●At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience required ●Active and in good standing IL state pharmacist license required ●Willingness to obtain additional state licenses (IA, NE, HI) ●Strong clinical knowledge and comfort working across multiple systems ●Ability to work hours that may include evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 54 - 91 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location. This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
