Vancouver Clinic is hiring an on-call Histotechnician to join our pathology team. In this role, you will prepare and process tissue specimens, perform embedding, microtomy, and staining procedures including H&E, IHC, and special stains, and support quality control, documentation, equipment maintenance, and lab compliance. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of histology techniques, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with lab leaders, coworkers, and pathologists.
Certification as a Histotechnician (HT (ASCP)) or Histotechnologist (HTL (ASCP)) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) required Maintenance of certification status and relevant CME requirements Minimum associate degree in biological or science field preferred Minimum of one-year experience as a Histology Technician required Previous experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) helpful Familiarity with lab safety, infection control, and biohazard disposal Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Vancouver Clinic provides care across a wide range of medical decisions.
