A Brief Overview The Physician Office Radiologic Technologist performs patient diagnostic radiographs for review and interpretation by Healthcare providers within the protocol set by the area, within company policy and protocol and within defined standards and scope of practice by the SC certifying agency as well as completed other duties as assigned to assist with patient flow and other areas of patient service management within the scope or certification.

What you will do

Responsible for educating and preparing patients for their examinations, including positioning patients so desired anatomy will be demonstrated

Provide excellent patient care and effective communication that is essential to the performance of a variety of procedures

Performs accurate documentation of patient medical records, including documentation of patient medical history before an exam

Determine and set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology

Assume responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients

  • High School Diploma or GED with Limited Certification in Radiology Required
  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology program Preferred
  • Experience Qualifications
  • Prior Radiologic experience Preferred
  • Prior Medical office or Hospital based service Preferred
  • Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent overall customer service skills
  • Licenses and Certifications
  • Limited Practice Radiographer - South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association Required
  • Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association within 30 Days Required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certified - American Heart Association Preferred

Requirements

A High School Diploma or GED with Limited Certification in Radiology is required, while an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology is preferred. Prior radiologic experience and medical office or hospital-based service are also preferred.
