Franciscan Health Munster Campus 701 Superior Ave Munster, Indiana 46321 The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing Ultrasound Imaging, operating sonographic equipment to obtain images of patients' internal body parts to support diagnoses, and provide insight into medical issues, concerns or conditions. The Ultrasound Technologist works with and assists the physician in the performance of assigned procedures. This position assists in the training of students and sonographers, in ultrasound. The Ultrasound Technologist maintains optimum timeliness, accuracy, proficiency, efficiency, and safety during the execution of duties, and works closely with patients to ensure they have an understanding of procedures and are comfortable during procedures.

Required Certificate in Ultrasound Required Associate's Degree or Certificate in Radiology or Ultrasound 1 year Ultrasound Preferred Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Registered Ultrasonographer (ARDMS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography within 1 Year Required or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification - .
