Responsibilities
- Outpatient Therapist - Partial Hospitalization Program Peachford Hospital is a 246-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Dunwoody.
- We provide care for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors in both inpatient and partial hospitalization programs.
- Peachford has been providing compassionate care since 1973 and nearly 10,000 patients receive seek treatment here every year.
- We are searching for an experienced, energetic Master's prepared Therapist to work FT in our Adult Outpatient Services Program or Adolescent Outpatient Services Program .
- Outpatient Therapists, in Peachford's Partial Hospital Program, provide quality care to patients in our outpatient programs with primary focus on addiction and mental health issues.
- Crisis de-escalation skills and an ability to multi-task and manage priorities with a positive attitude are critical for this role.
- What Will You Get To Do?
- Outpatient Therapists are responsible for the following: Conducting psychotherapy and psychoeducational groups and lectures.
- Determining patient’s treatment needs and conducting psychosocial assessments.
- Conducting new patient orientation and assigning patients to appropriate groups.
- Maintaining a working relationship with physicians, hospital staff and leaders as well as managing staff providing care on the weekends.
- What Does Peachford Require for this Role?
- A master’s degree in a related clinical area as well as a LAPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW or LMFT certification is preferred.
- At least 2 years previous outpatient or inpatient experience along with a working knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-informed Care is preferred.
