Job Overview Fairview is looking for an ASC Coordinator/Peri Op Aide to join our team at our Clinics Surgery Center in Minneapolis, MN.
The ASC Coordinator/Peri Op Aide supports the ambulatory surgery and procedure center with administrative needs and assists the surgery center nursing team with care of patients.
Assists the surgery center nursing team in the care of surgical patients with transportation of the pre- and post-operative patient.
Performs a final check of supplies to ensure that they are complete and that everything is stocked for care of patients.
Moves equipment in and out of procedure, OR, and recovery rooms as needed.
Cleans perioperative areas.
Key clerical and administrative coordinator for the unit that manages phones, paging, and communication between the ASC departments and surgical specialty clinics.
Maintains confidential information and supports all other activities of the Ambulatory Surgery Center.
1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) day shift no weekends
Transports patients to and from perioperative services. Performs cleaning. Demonstrates the ability to provide applicable care/service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served. Provides clerical and organization support to managers and nursing staff. Manages sensitive material.
Required Qualifications 2 years clinical experience in an accredited hospital or surgical center Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
Preferred Qualifications: Nursing Assistant Registered Certified Nursing Assistant

Requires at least 2 years of clinical experience in an accredited hospital or surgical center and a Basic Life Support certification. Certification as a Nursing Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant is preferred.
